英语四六级阅读技巧（3）

分析【xī】：根据短文内容【róng】可【kě】以【yǐ】看出，A、B、C三项的内容都只【zhī】是从某【mǒu】一个方面阐述【shù】了一种【zhǒng】观点，而D项句子所表达的意思【sī】就较全面，高度囊【náng】括了全篇短文的主旨。
例（2）The first paragraph is mainly about ．
A．the teenagers‘ criticism of their parents
B．misunderstandings between teenagers and their parents
C．the dominance of the parents over their children
D．the teenagers‘ ability to deal with crisis
分析：短文意【yì】思是讲【jiǎng】年青人有时【shí】批评【píng】、责备其父母，认为父母对【duì】他们【men】间误解负大部分责任是自然的事。而B项意【yì】思是年青【qīng】人和父母间的误解，C项【xiàng】意【yì】思【sī】是父母【mǔ】对他【tā】们孩子的统治；D项指年轻人处【chù】理危机的能力。根【gēn】据短文【wén】内容【róng】，可以明确【què】看出，B、C、D三项内容都是从三个方面【miàn】来论述
短文观点的，而A项则较【jiào】全面【miàn】地、有针【zhēn】对性地表达了文章的【de】中心意【yì】思，故【gù】为答案。       

（五【wǔ】）选【xuǎn】项【xiàng】中表达意义【yì】较【jiào】具体的【de】、肤浅的（字面意思）一般不是答【dá】案项，而概括性的、抽【chōu】象的、含义深刻的是答案项【xiàng】。

例（1）The population in the 21st century， according to the writer ．
A．will be smaller than a few years ago
B．will not be as small as people expect
C．will prove to be a threat to the world
D．will not constitute as serious a problem as expected
分析：选项【xiàng】A、B中都有small一【yī】词，该词在【zài】文中出现【xiàn】过，因而总【zǒng】觉浅，是字面之意。C项明【míng】显【xiǎn】与文章不符，而D项表达的意【yì】义【yì】比small要深刻得多。
例（2）From the passage it can be seen that employeeship helps one ．
A．to be more successful in his career
B．to solve technical problems
C．to be more specialized in his field
D．to develop his professional skill
分析【xī】：题意是“从【cóng】文【wén】中看出【chū】员工【gōng】素质有助【zhù】于人们……。” B项题即“解【jiě】决技【jì】术问题”；C项意即“深化专业”；D项“发展【zhǎn】职业技能【néng】”这三项表达的意思都比较具体，而A项则概括地有深度【dù】，包括了B、C、D三项内容。
